March 20, 200521 yr He was good defensively, but he had reputation for lollygagging and not going all out. His reputation and lack of milestones will hurt him.

March 20, 200521 yr Danny Bautista retired too. Add in Cordova's retirement that makes 3 retired D-rays since right before camp began.
March 21, 200521 yr In the future, the Rays plan to put Delmon Young in right with Crawford at center and Huff at left. Rocco unfortunately will be gone in the future due to a crowded OF/ his unwillingness to stay in Tampa. Gathright will eventually spell them out as a 4th OF alonh with Johnny Gomes. Upton will move to third and Cantu, actually, did great in his Rookie year. He hit .317 as a 22 year old. Him and Lugo should make a nice tandem. Once stu sternberg takes control(already bought naimoli out for majority owner) this team should contend. Not to mention Kazmir, Niemann, and MCclung in the rotation. :thumbup

March 22, 200521 yr Baldelli doesnt want to play here it seems. Plus Huff and Upton would make the worst defensive left side of the infield in history.
March 22, 200521 yr Why aren't the rays considering using Gaithright (sp?). With baldelli injured why not just give him som AB's.
