March 23, 200521 yr Author I would not get it, you'll waste more money buying games for it and such. 718373 I dont know if Id say 'waste'...I think you get something in return for those purchases.
March 23, 200521 yr I'd wait and see how it plays out. I'm still not sold on it, especially after the DS (and lets face it, Nintendo is exponentially more supported when it comes to portable gaming) came out with a whimper instead of a bang...
March 23, 200521 yr The more I see the PSP the more I like it. The problem is I know I hardly ever play portable games, if you travel it might be well worth the purchase.
March 23, 200521 yr Excuse me for sounding like a complete dumbass, but what's a PSP? 718580 It is a handheld PS2

March 23, 200521 yr I dont see the reason to buy one unless you are traveling alot(which I think someone said)
March 23, 200521 yr Sorry, I can think of a couple of things better to do with $249 than buying the PSP.
March 23, 200521 yr Author Sorry, I can think of a couple of things better to do with $249 than buying the PSP. 719007 Im sure you can...but remember...I didnt have to do anything to get this money and I pretty much have most every necessity around here squared away...Im looking to buy something for myself with the green.
March 24, 200521 yr I might consider picking one up when the price drops...whenever that may be. For now, I'll stick with my DS.

If you feel the need then please, be my guest. But for me personally, I cannot justify spending $300 for a handheld. For a home console absolutely, but not for a handheld.
March 24, 200521 yr Yes. The nintendo DS is flopping badly in terms of games. Theres like 8 games availible. On the psp launch, theres like triple that.
March 25, 200521 yr Here's my take on the PSP (after playing around with mine today): the screen is awesome, it's not hi-res, it's hi-def. The system looks very chic, but I can't shake the feeling that if I grip it tightly, I'll break something. The games look good, but the Spider-Man 2 DVD looks amazing. I've only played Metal Gear and Spider-Man the game, and neither left me awestruck, but the more exciting stuff (GTA, MVP) are out in around a month to six weeks, so I can wait for the real rewards. Also, don't know if this is true or not, but as you know, I waited in line to get this damn thing, and I made friends with the manager of GameStop on Broadway and 8th, and he told me that Sony had to cancel the European launch of the PSP to simply meet the US pre-sale demand, and that as it stands now, Sony cannot guarantee a full restocking of the system in the US until June. Now, that doesn't mean you won't be able to find one here or there, but they will be incredibly sparse until June. Believe it if you want to (Sony has a history of creating market hysteria to sell their products hard early), but it got me nervous enough to get one (because I need MVP on a plane, lol). Right now, it's not great, but in a month, I think I'll be happy I have one...
