Why Trelle has a brace on his right ankle while on the mound? I probably know the answer to this, but it is escaping my memory. Anyone who is wondering what I'm talking about, it's on the picture of the main site. You have to look closely as it's black like his socks, but it has a clear logo and it's a different form as the sock.

it may be an ankle support for when he falls off the mound, or it may be a shin guard where if he falls off the mound and can't react at a screaming liner in a sensitive area?

since he's a lefty his right foot will land first, especially with that high leg kick i bet its something to just give support.

This is where being a batboy comes in handy. Dontrelle wore that all of 2003, including spring training and he wore it last year. Matteau is correct. It helps him with support and keeps him from fouling a ball(or protects I should say) when hes at the dish as well as line drives and just keeps support for that area so he can react on certain plays.

 

I liked what whoever said, let him keep wearing but yeah it was there in 2003 and 2004.
