Marlins activated RHP John Riedling from 15-day disabled list.

Riedling certainly would have made a couple of appearances in the minors before returning if not for Ismael Valdez's injury. With a roster spot open, the Marlins will let Riedling continue to work his way back from a shoulder strain in the majors. It's not like they had any great alternatives awaiting them in Triple-A.

also gives the team a little more time evaluate who gets some extra practice sime when valdez comes back

Could have brought up a bat. I.e. Little, Dillon
