Most HATED Marlins of all time

Abraham Nunez....Pudge....Castro....Cliff Floyd

Come on Pudge What are you crazy!! He helped us win that world series. Come on Pudge is the best catcher to ever wear a Marlins Jersey.

Come on you are crazy.

He also gave the organization the finger on the way out.

That's why people get hated, for the way they act off the field, at least most of the time...

On Pudge, he always played hard for us and delivered in key moments. That's all you can ask from a player.

No he didn't, he bitched about being dropped to 6th, and he took a week off to go home when we were struggling and he wasn't hitting.

He was a real vocal leader when we were winning, but I'm not a huge fan of his considering that he could have been a God in Miami, but he sat around until after the Super Bowl trying to find a place to play...

On taking the time off, you don't know what was going on his personal life.

This guy will go out as the best catcher in the history of the game. He plays good and put the effort regardless of contract status. The guy is a gamer and he has a desire to perform well.

Who cares if he sat after the Super Bowl? He was looking for the best deal, which he won't deny.

Leaving coincided with a bad stretch, and also when he was dropped to 6th, a lot of the writers down here questioned his desire after that, but yes, I agree, as a stand alone event it's not fair to get on him.

If he goes down as the greatest catcher in history, does that mean you can't hate him because he was an absolute ass off the field? He told the team, while they were in P.R. to play the Expos, that he'd take less to stay in Miami (because this was back when expectations of the playoffs were not out of the question, but not realistic) but that tune quickly changed after a good postseason.

When we didn't get a deal with Pudge by the Dec. 8th deadline, he took a shot at the team and ownership, burned his bridges with the fans by saying that he's all about the money, and he couldn't care about the support from his adopted home-town.

I respect him as a player, but I despise him as a person...

You can hate him all you want. I'm not saying is wrong not to hate him.

I'm just saying that I can't hate, because he did what he was supposed to do when he was wearing the uniform.

I was very upseat with him during the 03 off season, but most of it is forgotten now and I remember the good things.

Let's look at the Castro situation for just a minute:

Castro showed lack of work ethics, and no heart. No matter how much his life sucked, you don't let your team down like that and quit. What a loser

Abraham Nunez....Pudge....Castro....Cliff Floyd

If you're referring to best catcher overall to be a Marlin, then yes Pudge is it. However, CJ is far and away the best Marlin catcher.

I can't hate on Cliff....he's possibly my favorite Marlin and he loved this team until the organization turned their back on him and threw him to the street.

they actually sent him to a contender, the Expos at the time if I recall.

Yeah, the 'Spos were in the race when Floyd got traded over there. Then after they fell off a bit, he got dealt to another contending team in the Red Sox.

Talk about your revisionist history.... :whistle

I never hated anyone but I did dislike some Marlins....

Nunez

Oliver

All I can think of right now...

Not liking Leiter much right now....

i hate micelli(for punking our manager and the organization)

oliver(cuz every f***ing time that a**hole would pitch with a lead no less

the f***er would give it up and we'd lose)

gram lloyd (the reliever the expos gave us for floyd that f***er didn't even

want to suit up for us)

al leiter same as oliver even when he win he looks horrible....

I didn't mind him so much when they were on the team because they performed, but if you look at the 97 team there were some real jackasses..... brown, sheffield, alou, bonillia. They all aren't necessarily model citizens or role models.
