July 28, 200323 yr Cape I'm going to start giving 940 a chance. I've always listened to QAM but I just can't stomach listening to all these Dolphins calls in the middle of a baseball wildcard run. Maybe they'll convert me.

July 28, 200323 yr 940 is good because they don't do Dolphins 24/7. They do alot of Canes, Marlins, and Panthers. Surprisingly, they don't do much Heat talk even though their sister station (WIOD 610) is the flagship for the Heat other than the Heat magazine. They have local sports newscasts every half hour or so and have a local sports talk show in the mornings (Morning Bullpen 6-9 AM) and the afternoons (SportsTalk South Florida 5-7 PM) and run FOX Sports Radio and Westwood One Radio (NFL, NASCAR) as well as Gators Radio since they lost the Canes to WQAM. July 28, 200323 yr I switched to 940 when 610 decided to drop Sportstalk610 and start it's own sports station to go against WQAM. BTW, in 2005 it is possible that the Marlins and Panthers may move to 940 and the Heat stay on 610 or move to 560. Dolphins moving is unlikely.

July 28, 200323 yr just tuned in online, i don't like sports talk radio, but for whatever reason 940 wrfx and 620 wdae in tampa are the only two stations i have found that i can stand. They don't yell at callers or call them idiots because they disagree.

July 28, 200323 yr Even though its in another county, 940 is located 1 mile north of PPS, just on the other side of the Turnpike. Funny how that works.
July 28, 200323 yr I may be wrong (ask some people here I'm always wrong) but I listened for awhile and I got the distinct impression that the tickets were part of a promotion with a Coral Gables auto dealership (from which they were doing a remote) and the tickets were an inducement for visiting the dealership, i.e., they were available there and not in Miramar. Now perhaps other shows on the station (morning show etc.) are giving them away as well but these tix today were at the dealership.
