Can anyone tell me who'll be on the mound Friday?

Featured Replies

I'm taking Lindsey to her first Braves game on Thursday night in Washington, the only caviat is that she comes with me to my first Marlins game on Friday night in Washington!

Anyway, I know our rotation has been more or less shaken up lately, and was wondering if anyone could give me a prediction about who'll be pitching for Florida on Friday night?

Monday- Al Leiter

Tuesday- AJ Burnett

Wednesday- Brain Moehler

Thursday- Dontrelle Willis

Friday- Josh Beckett (5-0 at home this season)

So it looks like you'll be taking Lindsey to a great game! :thumbup

Have fun!!!

I was going to go to that game (Friday) with my dad. We were going to leave 1 day early for our trip and stop in Washington to see the Marlins but it didnt work out as we planned... So no Marlins/Nats game for us :(

I thought it might be Beckett. Awesome. She and I are real excited, we've never been to a major league game before.

Wow, good luck! She'll have fun, and the Marlins will win so she'll wanna come back! She'll be singing "Take me out to the ballgame, take me out to the crowd...etc"

Marlins, she's a Braves fan, we're going to the Atlanta-Washington game on Thursday night, and then the Florida-Washington game on Friday night. It happened to fall together like that, making it really convenient for the two of us to see our favorite teams. Hopefully the Braves will lose and the Marlins will win, making her see the light.

Holly, she and I will be sitting in section 470 (outfield lower reserved). I hope those seats will be ok, at least they were cheap. :lol

Friday- Josh Beckett (5-0 at home this season)

Thanks for the stat!

You're dating a Braves fan??? :o

You'd be dating a Braves fan too if she looked like this

Plus, we live in Virginia so it's not like being a Marlins fan can be high up on my priorities for dating.

The lower outfield reserve seats offer great views, man. One of the few sections without an obstructed view. Only the last 10 feet of the outfield.

I don't know if I'll be at Thursday's game, but Friday definitely. May even sneak down to better seats.

You're a lucky man Dodge. Those seats will be awesome. You and your honey will feel like you're peeking over Encarnacion's left shoulder. You're right in line to catch a Delgado ball that he hits 400 feet just barely foul. Good luck and have fun.

Ok, in that case then I'm sure you're going to be able to get her to convert to "Marlinality". :D

You think he actually knows what happens?

He just spews random facts and hopes nobody realizes.

He doesn't have the time to read the posts, he has to post and run onto the next one.

I was waiting for someone to say that.

One more thing, this might be a stupid question, but do stadiums typically sell the visiting team's merchandise as well? I hope so! :evil

The Marlins do depending on the team in town, though not as much obviously. You might see a hat or two if anything.

You might get lucky with vendors outside the stadium, though. Also, usually stadiums will have one store inside of them that has the hats of all 30 Major League teams, that might be your best bet.

The Nationals aren't doing a lot of promotions this year in RFK, but hopefully I can land some Marlins stuff. Thanks Juanky. :cool

I'll be at both those games as well. For some reason I thought Dontrelle would be pitching Friday, but oh well I'll take Beckett :) .

Enjoy your first Major League games.

Don't expct to find any Marlins gear in the stadium or outside. Only Yankees caps. Stop by Sports Authority or Modell's.

My stepdad was at the Cubs-Nats game a few weeks ago and told me there wasn't a bad seat in the house. I really don't care if RFK is a dump, I'm seeing my Marlins.

Plus I will probably be up at Citizens Bank Park in July.
