Was it this guy? He was from 2-3 years ago.

Haha, Page 2 did a draft today for the spelling bee...

I guess that makes it okay.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone's interested, but since we're on a tight deadline, how bout if we get 5 or more people to sign up by 10:30 tonight, we'll do a quick draft.

I count as one person.

did anyone see the show Cheap Seats which made fun of that chick who smelled her fingers??

Samir Patel rips through his word in about 20 seconds, which is his style.

Wincester has no difficulty.

Highlights from Round 5 include:

The girl who asked the pronouncer how to spell the word. She's gone.

And Dominic Errazo, who asked, apropos of nothing, "Does the chicken have large talons". It looked and sounded like a Napoleon Dynamite impression, but I've never seen that movie, so I couldn't say for sure.

The other strong contenders are all alive as well. Those would be the kid from Louisville, John Tamplin, and the two Katies...Katie Close and Katie Brown. This is the 4th year in the competition for all three of those kids.

It's mid-Round 7 now. One of the favorites is gone. Katie Brown misspelled "monogoneutic" as "monogameutic". She obviously didn't hear the word correctly. There's 23 kids left, I think. Another one to look out for is Jack Ausick. He came in 8th last year, and handled a mad crazy word in Round 6 with the poise of a veteran.

:lol "Can't you see she has the answers in her hands?" That was the euonym girl. A classic.

So much for Ausick, who leaves an "s" out of "meissen".

HOW COULD HE????

18 left.

Wincester is already starting to freak out. I don't know if that bodes well for him. He has a nice mustache, though.

It was weird, cause he knew what it meant...but I guess he couldn't see it in his head.

That kid's amazing. If he doesn't win this year, he'll win next year.

Ooooo...Louisville goes down.

Down to 10 now.

OK, that "Pepysian" word was way unfair.

Katherine Close goes down, and some other chick follows her. Two girls left, 4 guys...

It could come down to a dream final two of Wincester and Patel. Spelling fans everywhere are sailvating.

man, i remember in 5th grade I won the bee at my school and went to the first round of this thing

and i thought i was so good...

Patel's been working all on memory so far. I want to see what happens when he gets challenged and has to work it out.
