June 8, 200521 yr I don't want to fire or replace anybody. I don't want to send anyone else down to the minors. I don't want to send Leiter out to be bullpen coach(yes, this was talked about a couple oof weeks ago). I don't want to bench Lowell and bring up Smithington, Willingham...whatever. We have a good team overall, that over 162games should make the playoffs easily. . .But, it is our perogative as fans to question a manager's judgement. I like Jack. Anyone who suggests he be gone is playing too much MLB2004 or 2005. Get real, he's 1 of 2 manager's that has WON a WORLD SERIES in the last 2 years. Overall I like his style, but I think he's overmanaging lately. I didn't like his move last night in pulling Pierre for Dillon. We need Pierre to win this year, not Dillon. Pierre in his previous at bat had hit a nice shot in a critical RISP spot. Just off by a foot from being a hit. He looked better in every at bat, yet he was pulled for some rookie with 10 AB's in a key spot. Not a good move. Give a guy like Pierre a chance to produce in a game where he's looking better with every at bat. I don't like this everyday line-up changing either. A team in a scoring slump does not need a line-up change every night. Hitting Juan 7tonite is crazy. He's not a 7 spot hitter. The team is not going to go far with a line-up like this. Jack, as old as he is, as much as he's seen, stillneeds to learn patience. Go back to the opening day line-up(for a change), and stick with it for 20 games. With all that, we'll probably win tonite. We are due for a big offensive game, and we have a good interleague history. But after tonite, go back to the opening day lineup. Dance with the girl that you came with.
June 8, 200521 yr Pierre hasn't been hitting much, except weak grounders,,,This line-up wasn't going far before these changes... If anyone needs to learn patience , it's the offense...they dont try to draw walks much, and they swing at a lot of crap I don't care who bats where, these guys are major league hitters: see the ball, hit the ball..that's part of their job description...

June 8, 200521 yr JP just doesn't belong at the top of the lineup right now, he's killing it. As for last night, lefty Guardado vs 2005 JP... I agree 100% with Dillon coming up to PH there.
June 8, 200521 yr Yeah, Dillon had a better chance of hitting it out of the infield After that one at-bat halfway thru the game when JP made an out, they showed him in the dugout and he just looked defeated...
