June 16, 200521 yr i SAW THE GAME THEY SHOULD HAVE SENT THE RUNNER HOME AFTER GARRET ANDERSONS HIT. OH BY THE WAY IM SO GLAD WE DID NOT PICK UP STEVE FINLEY LAST YEAR. :-)
June 16, 200521 yr And we are 1.5 games back in the wild card, and if we win the wild card, I will be happy with that, the marlins are known to be a wild card team winner becuase of those braves, well, it seams like the braves are not that much of a problem now, however, we have the nats now. :closedeyes I think we have a very good chance to win the wild card, as long as we keep on the right road.
June 16, 200521 yr true, and the phillies wont stay on track , which will give us room if we continue to play how we are and we also have a chance at the division,, but we cant get too behind when we have beckett injured
June 16, 200521 yr then i guess your a marlins fan and not a baseball fan if you dont want to watch a great game 812131 I watched the game, it was indeed a great game. My favorite type of game as well. However my favorite non-Marlin player's team happened to be playing against the first place team in my division. I'm going to be upset the Nats won, regardless of my stance on how good of a baseball game I saw.
June 17, 200521 yr Guillen has a cannon, he would have gunned Erstad at home by plenty with an accurate throw. Erstad was not even at 3rd by the time the ball came to Guillen.
June 17, 200521 yr Author Guillen has a cannon, he would have gunned Erstad at home by plenty with an accurate throw. Erstad was not even at 3rd by the time the ball came to Guillen. 812836 I brought that up earlier in this thread. What was Erstad doing while he was leading off 2nd base? Digging a garden? Painting a quasi-Mona Lisa? Twirling dough for a pizza? Fearing that if he came home that he would "bowl" over another catcher and give another concussion out for free"?, Mixing a lemon-vinegar-oil salad dressing,Carving a turkey for November, Reading tomorrow's sports page? I taped the game (I always tape games as I watch in case I was away mixing a dressing in the kitchen)...and I rewinded back to it.Erstad should of been well past the 3rd base bag let alone being about 5-7 feet before it when Guillen came up with the ball. Strange.Maybe he's slower than Miggy? Nah,impossible.

There is no good reason why a runner doesn't score from 2nd base on a grounder through the hole to RF with 2 outs. Mike Redmond could have scored on that play. :lol
June 17, 200521 yr There were no outs. It was the right play to hold him. Who would have thought they couldn't get a sac fly or a grounder long enough to score him with no outs.
