June 19, 200519 yr This topic has been broached in the past. Personally I don't feel anyone has earned this merit for the Marlins at this point. If a player earns a berth in the real HOF I would love to see that number retired, which could happen soon with the Hawk. In the future I would love to see a Marlins HOF to honor players for their contributions to the team, a ring of honor but no numbers retired at this time.
