August 3, 200323 yr How does everyone feel about keeping Cabs and Juan as our outfielders and not making a deal? I for one at the time thought Admin made a great decision by not making a deal. But now it looks like we really could of used another bat like a Rondell White and maybe could of rotated our outfielders. Cabs just gets overpowered by power pitchers almost every time. Don't get me wrong I think Cabs is going to be great in the future but we are asking a lot from a 20 year old in this race for the Wild Card. Also Juan probaly is just in a funk but I am sure it is looking pretty bad right now that Beinfest did't pull the trigger. It was a tough call for him and thats why he gets payed the big bucks to make these tough decisions.

I thought the Urbina trade was bad but i am sure eating crow right now as Urbina is doing a great job. It might be early to say not pulling the trigger was a bad move but we shall see. I probaly would of done the same thing as Beinfest though.

Admin would have acquired Drew, but the Cards didnt want to trade him. Its that simple. Correct Drew was off the block but not Rondell White he was out there. I wouldn't send them to the minors (Maybe Cabrera if he keeps it up) just probaly give him a day off and go with TH or Banks they both can't do much worse than that. The last time Cabs took a day off he came back and did great.

August 3, 200323 yr All I'm saying the team had a chance to upgrade offense by acquiring Drew or Conine but both unfurtunely were off the market.I actually rather keep Cap than trade from White.I can't blame the team for not trying because the two player that could have made a big difference were off the market.

If we picked up a big bat, he would've replaced Cabrera in LF.

August 3, 200323 yr Heres is what the espn insider said Aug. 2 - White is still on the Royals' list of players who could provide an "impact bat," reports the Topeka Capital-Journal. Friday, the San Diego Union-Tribune noted the Padres will continue to make White available, noting that Florida, Kansas City, Seattle and Anaheim have expressed interest. The Marlins came close to getting White on Thursday, but the team reportedly doesn't want to pick up more than $400,000 of his salary, and San Diego didn't want to eat the rest.
