Former Marlins Pitcher....

Featured Replies

Ryan Dempster has had Tommy John Surgery today....

man, it keeps getting worse for this guy

2 Tommy John surgeries to Marlins pitchers. Coincidence? I don't think so. And Jason Grilli had Tommy John too if I recall correctly.

Maybe the situation with Dumpster is more corroborating evidence against the

Marlin organization's development of it's young pitching in the past?

Dunno, just a thought.

Maybe all the criticism was duly deserved??? I have to think that the statistical probability of TJ surgery, while not all too uncommon, isn't as prevalent throughout the MLB as it is with P's who have spent time in the Fish Farm.

Its been too tough for Dempster. I hope he recovers good and can pitch like the old Ryan Dempster again. I think his problem is keeping the ball low and probally has mechnical Faults. The pitching coach should of worked with him and maybe he wouldnt of needed tommy john....

after further review, i hope we sign him for cheap this offseason.....

lol,i think he might be a good adittion after tommy john surgery who know's we shall try him out.

Personally I wish the guy nothing but the best and I hope his surgery turns his career around because for a couple of year he was our best pitcher and did alot for the organization. Good luck Demp!

He was our bes pitcher back in those days. He set a bunch of records for us....

he set 3 records i think: all time wins, all time k's, and single season k leader.

Yeah, like any of those records will stand for long. He was just the Marlins pitcher who stuck around for the longest, nothing more. If we actually keep one of our current pitchers around for a few more years, one of them is bound to break his 42 win franchise record.

i never like it when people call him dumpster, the man was here a long time and pitched well for bad teams, he's a good guy, and he liked playing for the marlins.........I hope the guy comes back from surgery and mows down the competiton. Give 'em hell dempster, you'll be back
