The Denver Post reported the Rockies are prepared to trade pitcher Shawn Chacon to the Yankees for a minor-league prospect. Chacon, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury recently, has moved between the bullpen and rotation the last few years, pitching this year as a starter. He has posted a 1-5 record this season with a 4.30 ERA in 10 starts.

He was barely throwing in the mid-80s in his start against the Marlins a few months back. Combine that with a lackluster a lackluster Yankees defense and that could be a disaster.

Jeter is the worst defensive SS in the league.

Didnt he win a GG last year?

Not one to criticize gold gloves because they might be the best awards as far as picking players goes, but did he really have any competition in the AL? Vizquel wasn't being Vizquel, Tejada has never been recognized for his glove work for the most part, Nomar was half the year hurt and the other half in Chicago, and the best SS in the AL was playing 3B.

I think he won it because of the dive into the stands play.

All Im saying is a gold glove is a gold glove. The guy is solid as hell and makes very few errors and really orchestrates the defense out there.

But when I see a blind hate, moronic post like 'Jeter is the worst defensive SS in the league' you have to jump on it.
