The fact that he only throws two pitches may be catching up to him

He's got 3 pitches, 4 if you count his regular fastball and his moving fastball as an extra pitch.

So kids, what did we learn here?

something else... you don't count on "babies" to come out of AA and win 12 games and take you to the WS; that only happens once in a lifetime. Lesson over...

Olsen has been nothing short of brilliant besides tonights start

I agree with ramps assement, sure he hasent pitched passed the 6th in any of his starts, but they were very good quality starts where at points he flat out dominated...he is a rookie so give him a break, he's going to have a few bad starts, what will show what Olsen is made of is for him to have a good outing next time out following a bad outing, Olsen and Moehler have been the two pitchers who have suprised and impressed me this year

o, and no more threads like this ever again....

Hey 253, come out of hiding, we have a new Jinx.

A rookie from AA going up against a team with a great offense in an extreme hitters' ballpark. He was not in a good spot at all. And my fears were well founded.

The error behind him didn't help one bit either.

OK, so he got rattled a bit. It's going to happen with a young rookie. Nobody expected him to come up here and be our new ace.

Give him a chance. He'll learn from this outing and will come back solid again in the next.
