i hope beinfest does something else, we need a quality starter in left, sure conine and bigbie is ok i guess but if we get a reaggie sanders, milton bradley type of player we would have such a better shot.

I doubt we'll acquire an OF'er..If anything we'll probably acquire another starter,I for one feel safe with bigbie in left and enc in right..Should be sweet, let's see what happens

He really hasn't....

2003-2004 offseason is exhibit a.

We offered Pudge a good deal, 2-20 million..can't argue with that..and we didn't think we could afford Lee, so we trade him for Choi. Choi doesnt work out so we trade him, and Penny and so forth for Mota, LoDuca, and Enc....so...what did he do wrong? Oh yeah...then we sign Delgado during the offseason....

He made the Lee trade anticipating Pudge would sign, can't fault that, but you can blame his judgement. Guerrero begged to sign here, he didn't even call Urbina, and he got lucky with Benitez. Wasn't his finest hour, really...

and there's alot of us who didnt like the LA trade.

also, 2003 worked out fine but he sold Millar(which was very odd at the time) and signed Todd Hollandsworth(who really isnt a starting player)

this sucks....we can't trade mikey. I hope that post isn't true...

Look, I like Mikey as much as the next guy...but anyone who will take his whole contract..we have to ge rid of him. We also get Bigbie in return, who isn't bad, and plays pretty good defense. Move Cabs to third...not a bad move..and Bigbie who hasnt been able to show that he can't hit for more than .280. But that contract of Lowells really helps us out for future signings.

Yes true...I personally liked the LA trade..we got ourselves a catcher for one, and Penny...he is still just Penny. His one big goof is Vlad...I could of shot him for that one...

i thought that the la trade was awesome, we got a catcher, a Rf and a quality set-up man/ closer for wat, a injuried pitcher and a first baseman with multiple holes in his swing. com'on that was awesome, imagine still having redmond/castro as our catchers :Smash

how did he goof on vlad?? we couldn't offer him more than a one year offer, the angles could offer the money and years he wanted while also offering a low-key atmosphere

we couldn't compete with that offer

Not sure if this is true, but hey...I think he would of signed here for less money....but don't quote me...
