Time to make a run

The way this team got swept by the Cubs at home- I thought we were heading for another season like 2004.

However with our big 3 going up against a San Francisco team that is more than beatable- I think we can make a run right now.

Look at these matchups-

Willis vs. Tomko

Beckett vs. Hennessey

Burnett vs. Schmidt

-----------------------------------

We need to take the first 2.

The starters have to do their job and keep the team in the game..I hope Willis can bounce back from his 2 bad outings

Beckett was great his first start after his previous DL stint..hope he can be as good this time out, and AJ (if he's still here) just has to keep us in the game

the offense needs to keep going like the last week or so :Clap

I mentioned this over in the "Big O" thread, but this is the more fitting thread.

Willis needs to change it around somehow. Not just his last two starts , but his history of stinking it up in the second half of the season. Also, more importantly is his last 2 starts in SBC Park have seen him get absolutely shelled there. I believe it is 10 earned runs in 6 innings over those two starts there. Seems Willis has alot to overcome. But I believe he has the will and compusure to get it back on track (hopefully).
