A pitcher flying under the radar

John Patterson: 17 starts, 2.69 ERA

If he could get any run support/luck, he would have a lot more than 6 decisions.

I've had my eye on him ever since his start against us in the first week of the season.. had him on my fantasy team ever since then.

I bet Arizona is a little bitter.

I remember reading about Patterson like 4 years ago, before he had his surgery. In the minors his strikeout rate was better then Randy Johnson's during his best season... I mean thats ridiculous. To bad for that injury, i'm sure he'd be racking up way more strikeouts if his arm was totally what it used to be... but yeah he really is amazing.

Not my radar! He has been on everyone one of my fantasy teams since day 1! :D

What is truely amazing is that he has 4 wins in 17 starts, the way he has been pitching that is almost impossible to do.

Another great start: 8 IP, 1 ER, 6 H, 10 K and another no decision.

Highest no decision rate in baseball.. crazy

Well, having four wins and pitching in Washington will do that for ya.

There was some talk of Patterson being on the All-Star team, but I guess he fell off his early season pace and an injury and the won-loss record let him slip.

He should have been an all-star... his ERA has not been above 3.17 all year and the most runs he has given up in a game is 4... not Clemens, but he is going to be a big name for a long time to come.

He's baby Josh.....has the high power fastball, big hook, and even bigger attitude. He's got loads of talent and will be a damn good pitcher for a long time.

I'd prefer if he not win, though. For obvious reason of course.
