As per Bodog, Where is AJ Burnett going to be pitching after the trade deadline

New York Yankees - 6/1

Boston Red Sox - 7/2

Baltimore Orioles - 3/1

Florida Marlins - 6/1

Chicago White Sox - 3/1

Other - 9/2

To me I think we're getting good odds....Where would you put your mythical money?

he's not going anywhere folks

not unless someone gets desperate and grossly overpays. i dont think we'll be seeing an equal value trade.

he stays in teal

$1,000 :mischief

I will put 1,000 for 3/1 odds for the ChiSox. I think they will find a way to take on lowell's contract for us. Then the Marlins will spin McCarthy for Vasquez or another top player they wanted but didnt want the salary for.

Im actually starting to think the Os deal minus our prospect would have been a decent trade for us, but right now I dont see the Red Sox or White Sox doing a deal, but the White Sox are pretty much the only team left in contention.

My moneys on the fish. Next season, its on the Os.

I seriously doubt AJ is going anywhere and neither is Lowell. He'll stay and go back to his old self next season..

...i hope :confused .

Half of my mythical money is going to the Marlins at 6:1 and the other half is going to The Dark Horse team at 9:2 Le Tigres are gonna get in on the action. I have a feeling its going to be a trade that is more beneficial to the club that gets him in regards to the other clubs that don't get him. Example going to the tigers so the Sox don't get him. The team that gets him is gonna over-pay in my opinion.

The line went down to 3-2 on the Fish...

I didn't check closely enough at first. Nothing mythical about this. Real money can be bet. Too bad, I would have taken 6/1 earlier on the Fish, with a small back-up on the Yankees just in case George goes extra nuts. Now it's 5/2 on the Fins.

Up to the second odds

New York Yankees - 13/2

Boston Red Sox - 4/1

Baltimore Orioles - 7/2

Florida Marlins - 5/2

Chicago White Sox - 7/2

Other - 9/2

I think the other odds was bodog not knowing the situation too well....To me it's us all the way and the public agrees....

Wagering lines are not based on what the people who make the lines really think will happen. They are based on what they believe the public will bet so that all sides get bet equally and the bookmaker is guaranteed a win no matter what the outcome. This situation was probably influenced by the amount of "dream and hope money" that they felt would come from the big market cities. But based on the line movement, it looks like they got caught by the "smart money" who know AJ is going nowhere since he has no intention of siging a contract with anybody.
