Keep Conine in the lineup

However I have a strong suspicion Lowell will be with us next spring, and not at any fault of our GM shopping his services.

That's going to be the key to the offseason in my mind. If we're able to get rid of Lowell. Obviously we probably won't get any team to take the whole contract, but if we can get some team to take at least half of his remaining contract, it would make things a lot easier on us in the future, by freeing up money, allowing Cabs to move back to his natural position, and allowing Willingham/Hermida/Aguila to get much needed playing time.

I personally think Conine is not that great a fielder in the outfield and a mediocre hitter at best...I also think that Miguel Cabrera is not that great an outfielder and would succeed at third base, the position that he accelled at in the minor league system. Next season I think that Cabrera should move to third if Mike Lowell's contract is not renewed and Josh Willingham should take the duties of playing left field, even for the rest of this season, I think Willingham should be used as the fourth outfielder instead of Conine whose age is catching up with him...any thoughts?

I have a thought. I disagree with every single opinion that you've expressed above.

Watch the games.

Rferry's opinion a few posts on is accurate on Conine's play in left field.

Cabrera at 3rd, Willingham in LF. This would be great if we only had to play offense. Defensively....oy.
