Michael Tejera for The Stretch

Featured Replies

Tejera was strong when he joined the Marlins. Then, he struggled and looked like a flash in the pan. Last couple of outings, he looks strong again. If he keeps it up now, he will be a great asset in the pennant run. And the kid is cool. And I think he's going to keep it up (while Spooney is still indeterminable!)

Yeah he looked sharp last night and before....

also....Almanza...maybe a help? is he getting his act together now? :o

Couldn't believe the confidence-building statements McKeon said about Almanza (the heart-attack in waiting) a few weeks ago. Maybe Jack was right. Now, I think Almanza will give up only one run before getting the third out.

Both Almanza and Tejera have ALWAYS had the stuff. For some reason, they just weren't doing to well.

Both left balls up in the zone, and forgot about their pretty curveballs. NOW, they are keeping the ball down, changing speeds well, and are using the curve when they need to.

I'm just trying to think of who is going to make the playoff roster.

someone please erase the last statement for Josh.... he is killing this franchise

People have said we needed to acquire a left-handed specialist for the pen, but the way Michael has been pitching, we may have the pitchers we supposedly needed. :mischief2

mike has been pitching great lately.......and almanza has gotten better buts its gonna take much more then that to change my opinion about him.

Our left handed specialist is already here.

Urbina can be considered a lefty due to his success and ability to get out left handed hitters.

Our bullpen has improved greatly with Tejera coming around,Bumps success and Urbina...Almanza has even pitched a well in his last 2 outings. :mischief2 When Spooney comes back (If there are no more "tingles") we could have one of the top bullpens in the league.
