August 28, 200521 yr That was a small part of it, but he wanted to come back here. The FO screwed up on that one. They offered him less money then he was asking and wouldnt budge. He wanted 500k from us we offered him like 350k if I remember right. It was something that was bothering me and a bad move. One of the rare few I think the FO has made (besides Leitter).

Seanez was willing to come back if the Marlins offered him more than the Padres which they didn't and would have considered coming back if the Marlins matched the Padres. My mistake. Anyways, he didn't do too well for us last year, allowing nearly every inherited runner score! We brought in a lot of talent to replace him (and Koch and AAAA fillers), whether they all lived up to expectations is another matter.
