August 30, 200521 yr he just trying to be too perfect. He has good enough stuff where he doesn't have to hit the corners at every pitch. He is stubborn, and no one has been able to get through him yet. He would probably have a monster season on his contract year. 920302 Your absolutley right. Being to perfect and then makes a mistake down the middle. 920464 Wouldn't trying to be too perfect make him walk batters? 920495 well well. Trying to be perfect makes him fall behind hitters. Once behind he has to throw the ball in the middle. Is that rocket science?

It's nice to be able to talk to someone of your stature on this board.

August 30, 200521 yr Beckett was 2-2 in 6 games(5 starts), 2 CGs, 1 SHO, 2.05 ERA, 44 IP, and 30 K to only 12 BB. He only allowed 21 H in 44 IP as well...I'd say Beckett was pretty much on the whole postseason.
August 30, 200521 yr After tonight, anyone still care to say AJ is the unquestionable ace? He's got the stuff, but he's still so damn stubborn, he thinks his fastball is just too unhittable, even when he had a good curve-ball working.
