Based on the latest developments in south Florida, then John Hart should cease his whining about Raffy and Juan, and start figuring out a way to bring home Pudge for 2004. Mr. Pudge Rodriguez is helping lead a shocking charge by the Florida Marlins for the National League wild-card playoff spot. Pudge has been healthy, clearing up that lingering question when he departed here last fall. He is still hitting well (.312, 15 home runs, 69 runs batted in), and he is receiving and throwing well. Mainly, however, in an answer to all those who blamed Pudge for the Rangers' pitching woes, he is working with a young and super-talented staff. His "handler" reviews in south Florida have been excellent. And the numbers back up the reviews. The Marlins' staff earned-run average is 3.99. When Pudge catches, that ERA drops to 3.66. And "his people tell my people" (whatever that means) that Pudge would walk back to Arlington for the chance to return here. There you go, John Hart. Make yourself useful. Get to work on a new Pudge deal. He's another one who loves it in Arlington and never wanted to leave in the first place. So what's wrong with that? Link

August 12, 200322 yr whateva...........FREE CASTRO!!!!!!!! I doubt Castro will ever be anywhere as good as Pudge. Plus, Castro has been in our minor-league system since 1998, after spending a few years in the Houston Astros' system.
August 12, 200322 yr never said he would be as good as pudge, so i dont know where you read that from..............i do however think he will be good, and if you ask me, i think he'll have just as many HRs as pudge, which could give him just as many RBIs, he may not just hit for the same average, but just wait and see, he will surprise people...........and whats the point of mentioning that he has been in our system since 98?? im not trying to be fresh here, i just dont see the point of why you put that in your post in response to what i said.......

Castro has been in our minor league system since '98? Who's that Jay Leno look-alike that's been stuck on the bench for years then? He's been on the big leauge team for the better part of 4 years now. Just stuck behind a couple of All-Stars in CJ and Pudge unfortunately.
