September 4, 200520 yr We pick up a game by taking 2 of 3 in the weekend series. Now it's time to grind out some road wins. Tomorrows game is huge IMO. Facing Hernandez and a fired up Nationals team. Taking this game would be a great boost for us and a nice way to dampen the nats spirits for the rest of the series. Obviously a split is a must for these fours games. But a W tomorrow and we are on the way of taking 3 of 4.

September 5, 200520 yr Author I think it is natural that we are pissed that we didn't win today. Huge opportunity to take the wc lead. But I remember in 03 when there was a stretch of games that the phillies and the contenders kept losing, giving us the opportuniy to pick up ground, but we couldn't buy a win. We just have to keep playing good ball. Even if we don't sweep a series for the rest of the season, we can still make the playoffs. I'm pumped for tomorrows game. As cheesey as it sounds I got to bed thinking about the marlins and I am excited for the rest of the season. I think we are right where we want to be, and, Mr. Delgado, get ready for your first trip to the playoffs.

Just saying. 930285[/snapback] I agree there was a different vibe to the team in 03. I think it has something to do with the fact there was no pressure back then. I don't think we don't care. I believe the team wants to win. But we definately need to find our groove and roll with it. If the players get excited and motivated, our talent can take us a long way.
