Is Ensburg out for the series?

Featured Replies

An MRI today confirmed that Morgan Ensberg has just a bruised right wrist.

Ensberg was limited to taking fungos before Monday's game and has started taking an anti-inflammatory medicine. He remains day-to-day.

even if he plays...he probably wouldnt be very effective against hard throwers in beckett and burnett

Yes, I'm sure a guy getting on base at .384 clip with 35 homers and 96 RBIs is going to just fail because of two pitchers with names. Yeah, ok.

Morgan Ensberg - 3B - Astros

Morgan Ensberg was found to have a contusion on his right hand yesterday.

''It stinks,'' he said. ''We've got to let it heal. I asked, 'Can I swing through it, or can I work somehow and do exercises to work through it?' This particular spot, it just isn't something you can do. You just have to wait.'' He hasn't really been able to swing a bat since September 5, and it's unknown when he'll be able to rejoin the lineup. Sep. 13 - 9:51 am et

I think he meant it would be hard for him to catch up with mid 90s fastballs with his wrist slowing him down.

im not cheering for his injury. just the fact that he is going to miss games this series.

First off you need to learn to spell.

Secondly, this makes the series a hell of a lot easier on the Marlins to be facing the Astros without their top bat in the lineup.

It would be kinda like us being without Cabrera for this series. (waits for Delgado reference and for the point to go over half the boards head)

Morgan Ensberg's hand is not improving, and it could be a while before we see him swing a bat again.

It's possible he could be done for the year, but it's more likely he won't play for another week. Even when he comes back, he'll have to get back up to speed again, so he has probably lost all of his value for fantasy teams. Sep. 14 - 9:09 am et

in case anyone was STILL interested in what this douche is doing. this could be a huge blow for the Stros down the stretch if they lose both Tavares and Ensberg
