I said Adam , Because if Castillo leaves in the offseason we need a 2B that been around the MLB , i personally dont think the Marlins should play Hooper at 2B i wish they could bring Adam over here if Castillo was to leave.

none

Why not Tony Clark? The way Lee has been hitting, we might need some insurance... much like in 1997 when we got insurance for Conine. Clark makes like 100 K for the rest of the season and has 15 homers and has been on fire since getting more PT. He also can be here next season if we choose.

He can also play right and left field and would be great for a 40 man roster addition.

"Mets sign Clark to minor league deal

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (AP) -- First baseman Tony Clark agreed to a minor-league contract with the New York Mets on Thursday.

Clark, 30, a switch-hitter, also will be looked at in left and right field by the Mets. If he is added to the major-league roster, he would get a $550,000 US, two-year contract and the chance to make $200,000 more in performance bonuses -- the same terms to which infielder Jay Bell and pitcher David Cone agreed. "

we can trade D.Lee for Any help we need and put Tony Clark at 1st. He is having a VERY good season.

Of course not now! He means in the offseason... Clark and Lee are having similar seasons and the only real factor that separates them is the defense. Still the price will be 500 k for Clark and 6-7 million for Lee next season... Lee MIGHT get traded, but still, right now if there is a guy on waivers that we can get for a low price, why not? I'd rather have Clark backing up Lee instead for Lenny Harris.

And AJ, Clark is not having a VERY good season... he's been pretty good for his price tag since Vaughn went out.. He also think he has the power to hit 30 HRs just as Lee. Look at Clark's track record

Who's going to pay D. Lee $6-7 million this offseason? Even a stupid arbitrator couldn't justify that salary for him. .850 OPS 1st basemen are almost a dime a dozen.

What are you talking about? The man is having a career year!

$6-7mil for Derrek would be ridiculous for any team to take on
