September 14, 200521 yr Ok here are some interesting numbers and findings... in 2003 we finished with a 91-71 record in 2003 we had 5 Winning streaks of 5 or more games and 3 loosing streaks of 5 or more games in 2003 we played 26 games in Sept and had an 18-8 record. in 2003 we played the phillies 6 times in sept. 3 in their house and 3 in ours. We lost 2 of 3 to them in their house then we polayed a 4 game series (Braves Split) and then we played the Phillies 3 in our house and swept them. in 2005 we have had only 1 winning streak over 5 games (6 games) but we have not had any loosing streaks of 5 or more games. in 2005 we play 29 games in Sept/Oct and so far we are 8-4 if we go 13-4 the rest of the way (giving us arecord of 21-8 for Sept/oct) we will finish 91-71. Same as 2003. For this to happen we need to sweep at least 2 series the rest of the way so if we can pull off a sweep of the Stros since we only need 2 games. Then maybe get a sweep of the Phillies (preys!) we can just take the rest of the series from here on out and finish 91-71. What do you guys think?
September 14, 200521 yr It's be nice to do. I want to go on a long winning streak right now - I think a nice 10 game winning streak would be great. Sweep the Astros. Sweep the Phils. And then sweep the next team we play. But, in all honesty, all I want is to make the playoffs. So I could care less how we do it... JUST DO IT! GO MARLINS!!!
September 14, 200521 yr i was looking around to see if the 97 champion team had the same wins but interesting enough there record was 92-70 just 1 game off the record that we should have this season(knock on wood) and the record we had in 03. just thouhgt id share it
