September 22, 200520 yr We still have a shot at playoffs but if we dont make it i know that we were a .500 + team and hopefully my goal this season is to come in second in the East! But seriously this team is alot better than what they performed this year, the injuries just caught up to us
September 22, 200520 yr But seriously this team is alot better than what they performed this year, the injuries just caught up to us Not to mention the bad coaching, over abundance of rookies, lack of a bullpen, little at-game fan support, lack of hitting in the clutch, lack of winning against our own division, not being able to handle the pressure as being a team that should have been successful, no movement on a new stadium and unachieving from some of our clutch stars kinda helped as well.
September 22, 200520 yr i think for a team to make the playoffs everything needs to go right, everything (except maybe the NL west) but thats a different story. and unfortunately for the marlins, everything didn't go right.

September 22, 200520 yr Yeah, it can definelty be said that this was an extremely underachieving team...Injuries killed em and the lack of any help (minus Jones) in the bullpen put too much pressure on the starters to make it 7-8 innings... Hopefully we get our s*** together in the offseason, make a few changes and get back on board...
September 22, 200520 yr We underachieved. There is no silver lining. Everyone said that if Beckett and Burnett got 30+ starts, we'd make the playoffs. What they didn't expect was the offense to play so poorly. BTW, Beckett was awesome this year. He really did prove his worth.
