They are all packing their stuff on Sunday. At least some of these guys have performed on previous years and act as profesionals, AJ can't say the same

I sure hope he knows what he's doing, and not just acting brash as he has shown in past failed negotiations. Sometimes you have to check your pride.

I've seen you alluding to this in a couple of posts now and I'm curious (not a trap) why you've come to this conclusion? I thought the general consensus was that Beinfest was respected among his peers as well as in the media generally. Have I missed something besides perhaps a rant by Steve "I'm the failed ex-GM everyone expected me to be" Phillips?

Very classy move by Beinfest. I don't care if he's a twenty game winner next year, that guys is just bad kharma.

Maybe I didn't put that the best way, but Beinfest has gotten into many little spats with agents, scouts, players and coaches on many different issues. Ferreira, McKeon, Torborg, Pudge and Boras, Burnett and Lowell all come to mind. The Orioles, with their three-headed monster, haven't had quite as much drama. Nor have many other management teams in my recollection.

Not moving AJ was a vote for confidence in the team. I was one of those asking him to be shipped out for prospects (like a package deal for Hanley Ramirez) but at the time with A Gon relatively healthy, it would have been a deal that on paper would have set us back this season. He went and got Delgado in the offseason, which is by far bigger and better than any midseason deal. Seeing how 'effective' the midseason trades have been for other teams (Preston Wilson to the Nats, Danny Graves to the Mets, ...) Beinfest did the right thing standing pat. And he did the right thing again sending whiner boy home. AJ is gonna have that crybaby rep from now on.
