Here is why I feel that Willis should be the NL MVP. First, I'll state that I normally don't condone a pitcher winning that award, but I think that this year should be an exception. Basically, although there are many good position players having strong years in the NL, there is really no standout. Willis on the other hand has had a huge season and has been this year's biggest star in the NL. Compare him individually to the other candidates and hopefully you'll see it how I see it. This is how I see it; A. Jones--not with that B-avg; D. Lee--has tailed off; Pujols--yes he has the great numbers, but has he really been the most dominant player? D-Train--Most wins, hits, Strong finish, biggest NL name this year.

As much as I love Willis, I don't believe a pitcher should get an award like this. It needs to go to a player who plays everyday, not every 4 or 5 days.
