The last game cover I can remember a Packer on was Farve, for QB Club '98 on N64.

i dont remember that but if its true than he could be there. lost that playoff game to the 49ers in a heartbreaking manner, came out with the whole pill addiction thing and i think he had a problem with alcohol.

I own the game. He was on the cover for '98, and I'm not sure but I believe Payton Manning was on the cover of QB Club '99.

but I believe Payton Manning was on the cover of QB Club '99.

still hasnt won a playoff game and had to call his kicker an idiot on national TV (it was the pro bowl so nobody was watching). damn this s*** is uncanny

I still think Manning is the next Marino. Statistically he'll be the second best (behind Marino) in NFL history, but never considered the best because he: never won a super bowl (such bulls***).

Brett was on all QB Club's from 1998-2002.

If he was smart he would have endorsed Madden. But who cares? Brett isn't one to endorse games or anything for that matter. Hes a low key guy.

By the way word is that Favre wants to play AT LEAST 3 more years.

why does a thread about the Madden Curse have to turn into the statistcal history of Brett Favre?

because Phlub was posting. this thread isnt about the Pack or any records, its about the curse that comes with being on video game covers.

The Cover Jinx indeed....

2001- Eddie George: Injuries, Early Playoff Exit

2002- Daunte Culpepper: Now EASILY one of the worst QB's in the league because hes so damn stupid and turns the ball over.

2003- Marshall Faulk: Gets hurt

2004- Mike Vick: Gets Hurt

2005- ?????

But Madden is still the best Video Game there is. 2004 kicks a**! I play all Franchise all the time.

man if the dude was on Madden after his problems his a** would get knocked out of a game and totally f*** up his career, probably get addicted to crack or something

:lol

No no... He'd become addicted to sniffing markers while drwing plays with his sharpie.

i laugh at that

i laugh at that I read it and laughed at loud, but chose to comment on a different thing.

Glad you saw that, too. :lol

Daunte threw 23 INTS, Fumbled the ball 23 times as well, but lost the ball 17 of those 23 times.

Turning the ball over 40 TIMES ALL BY HIMSELF!

Daunte Culpepper turned the ball over 40 TIMES ALL BY HIMSELF LAST YEAR!

In 2002 Culpepper suffered a season ending injury in November/December.

In 2003 he turned the ball over 40 times, which was more times then most teams in the NFL. Also in 2003 after the season Daunte was required to stay in Minneapolis all off season to study film, Head Coach. Mike Tice said and I quote...

"This year Daunte was bone stupid. He has so much potential as he's displayed before, but this year his decision making was pathetic and he was not playing smart football."

Minneapolis Star Tribune

Daunte HIMSELF even said...

"I wasn't that smart of a football player this offseason, I made very poor decisions, and didn't use the time that I was given in the pocket to make the right decisions and make the right passes and right reads. And thats why I'm gonna be staying in Winter Park (the Vikings Practice Facility) until I and Coach Tice feel we've adressed the issues at hand."

So dont be laughing at me.

Here is a link to the stats for yourself...

When a player turns the ball over 40 times all by himself, he's not that good.

Pre-Cover: Won Heisman Trophy; helped restore USC's faded football glory.

Post-Cover: Selected No. 1 in the NFL Draft. By the Cincinnati Bengals.

one of my favorites is the one about Kobe Yea do say: Do you really need to ask?

Phlub as I Pmed you before

i bet after 2000 you were drolling over this guy... and yea he had a rough year in 2002, but he still had 28td himself, had his best rushing year ever, he will work on holding on to the ball...

so what? to say he is one of the worst qb's in the league shows how much knowledge outside the Green and Gold you really have....

your boy Favre has had s***ty years too, and has come back from them, but apparently Daunte Culpepper is really that bad..... you were too young to remember this probably but in 1993 Favre threw 24int.... i bet you would think he sucked too

sad really
