August 19, 200322 yr Culpepper has been BASHED by his HEAD COACH, booed during player intros at the Metrodome (his home field), he's even been bashed himself. Brett didn't have 40 turnovers in a SINGLE YEAR. Plus last year Culpepper was a 4th year guy. Brett was 1-2 years younger in the year that your pointing out. And the next year Brett threw for 33 TDs after the 93 season. I watched tapes of every Packers game from 92-94 before I became a fan that watched and knew enough about football in 1995. Brett hadn't experienced the success that Daunte had when Brett had those 2 bad seasons. Daunte had an MVP year, he should know what it takes shouldnt he? Well apparently he doesn't, since it came out a few months ago that on Draft Day the Vikings were on the verge of trading Culpepper and their 1st and 4th Round Picks to the Bills for Bledsoe and a Future 1st round pick. But the deal fell through and the Vikings bumbled down another 1st round pick, picking late on the clock. Anyway, Daunte should have known what it takes to do be one of the best as you say, well he should know. But for the past 2 years he hasn't shown it at all. Brett didn't know what it takes to be a great QB early in his career, Brett was in his 4th year when he became a great QB, Daunte was in his 2nd year when he put up MVP type stats. But hes collapsed the past 2 years. And theres no excuse for someone who puts up that good of numbers to put up the lackluster numbers he has. Dauntes QB ratings for his 4 years played.... 1999- 0.0 2000- 98.0 2001- 83.3 2002- 75.3 Bretts QB ratings in his first 4 years with the Packers... 1992- 85.3 1993- 72.2 1994- 90.7 1995- 99.5 So, Bretts QB rating has gone UP in his first 4 years, Dauntes has gone DOWN. You are way to audacious to even compare Culpepper to a Hall of Famer. Every QB starts off his first few years rough, but look at Culpepper, he didn't start his first few years roughly. He went to the Pro Bowl in his first few years. Brett didn't. Culpeppers numbers went down after his first few years, Bretts went up.
August 19, 200322 yr Culpepper is nothing compared to Favre.... i never said that but Culpepper being one of the WORST QB's in the NFL, is laughable
August 19, 200322 yr 2002- Daunte Culpepper: Now EASILY one of the worst QB's in the league because hes so damn stupid and turns the ball over. You are an idiot, plain and simple.
August 19, 200322 yr Brett was on all QB Club's from 1998-2002. If he was smart he would have endorsed Madden. But who cares? Brett isn't one to endorse games or anything for that matter. Hes a low key guy. By the way word is that Favre wants to play AT LEAST 3 more years. Who GAF about Favre? Nobody. He spells his name like a retard. Who cares what Brett endorses and the word maybe around your small community but Favre has said he does not know how long he wants to play. Give it up.
August 19, 200322 yr In 2003 he turned the ball over 40 times, which was more times then most teams in the NFL. Also in 2003 after the season Daunte was required to stay in Minneapolis all off season to study film, Head Coach. Mike Tice said and I quote... "This year Daunte was bone stupid. He has so much potential as he's displayed before, but this year his decision making was pathetic and he was not playing smart football." Source- Minneapolis Star Tribune Daunte HIMSELF even said... "I wasn't that smart of a football player this offseason, I made very poor decisions, and didn't use the time that I was given in the pocket to make the right decisions and make the right passes and right reads. And thats why I'm gonna be staying in Winter Park (the Vikings Practice Facility) until I and Coach Tice feel we've adressed the issues at hand." So dont be laughing at me. Where is the link to the Minneapolis Star Tribune story where the comments were made? How about this quote by Brett Favre: "I'm horrible, I deserve to be shot to death. I am a loser who was addicted to pain killers and I am an ugly person. I hate myself and the Packers. I am nothing compared to Marino and I wish I played my career in Miami." Source -The Miami Herald
August 19, 200322 yr Phlub as I Pmed you before i bet after 2000 you were drolling over this guy... and yea he had a rough year in 2002, but he still had 28td himself, had his best rushing year ever, he will work on holding on to the ball... so what? to say he is one of the worst qb's in the league shows how much knowledge outside the Green and Gold you really have.... your boy Favre has had s***ty years too, and has come back from them, but apparently Daunte Culpepper is really that bad..... you were too young to remember this probably but in 1993 Favre threw 24int.... i bet you would think he sucked too sad really A F'N MEN!
August 19, 200322 yr Daunte had an MVP year, he should know what it takes shouldnt he?? Well apparently he doesn't, since it came out a few months ago that on Draft Day the Vikings were on the verge of trading Culpepper and their 1st and 4th Round Picks to the Bills for Bledsoe and a Future 1st round pick.? But the deal fell through and the Vikings bumbled down another 1st round pick, picking late on the clock. You make me angry with your stupidity! There was no trade talks of Culpepper for Bledsoe, none ever other than ones reported in that pea brain of yours. Find me links buddy. This would not work under the cap with the bonuses too. The fact that Culpepper signed a HUGE extension with the Vikings shows how much Tice and the team thinks of him, contrary to what you believe and shows that there were no talks. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but the fact that you bash others like wildcard for being optimistic when you turn everything into Packer world is laughable. Nobody cares about you or the Packers, fact! I really think you are pathetic. I love also when you argue then are proven to be ignorant like usual and just don't respond to the topics anymore. LOSER.
August 19, 200322 yr it amazing how any topic on this board no matter how innocent turns into a big argument and always ends up involving the Packers
