Where is the statement from Loria?

Featured Replies

Loria and Samson said that they would have a statement regarding the stadium after the season was over. Basically, their side of the story. Where is it?

I meant to create this in the Stadium forum. Please move.

I don't really think you'll hear Loria and Samson's "side of the story" anytime before opening day of a new stadium. Until then they are in the unenviable position of having to keep their collective mouths shut while those on the other side can say anything they want.

I don't see the issue with a statement, as long as it is not inflamatory.

All I know is that the politicos are looking better and the Marlins are looking like a team looking for a $$ hand off.

The elections are around the corner, so it would be a lot tougher to get cooperation after that

If they were to release a statement I expect it to be after the World Series.

A month later and nothing. Is this bad news or good news? It could mean two things 1) They're moving the team. 2) Negotiations with Wayne aren't done.

All of MB.com and Marlin County awaits.

December 31st, 2005 is a big day. That is the option day for Dolphins Stadium for the 2007 season.

They'll exercise the option., and it will be no more than a formality. What other choice could they possibly have that soon? Just look at how long it took MLB to move the Expos. The Marlins aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I don't assume until that option is taken every year. I do agree with your sentiments though.

Hearing you loud and clear, Loria and Co. :thumbup

We must give Loria and Samson nicknames...

These are perfect:

Jeffrey Loria = Monty Burns

David Samson = Smithers!

:lol Nice

The Marlins aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I wouldn't go that far, you can never say never when it comes to losing a team...

I hope Expos fans can adopt our cause and help us work to save the team.
