December 4, 200520 yr A positive ending to the most disappointing/perplexing season in FSU history. Hopefully this is a building block for next year.

I wish Florida would have made it in the SEC---I'm a Gator fan at heart, but since coming to FSU, I've noticed a pull to the dark side....
December 4, 200520 yr I agree. I suppose the NC State loss was excusable, but it wasn't pretty. There was no reason to lose to Clemson, they aren't really that good to begin with. Then we had to go and look awful in the Swamp, against a Gator team that was worse than us, IMHO.

They lost 4 games, 2 in OT, by a total of 14 points (6, 3, 4, 1). They could have easily ran the table this season with a bounce here or there.

Rix was a better freshman QB than Weatherford. The Cromartie injury hurt...as did bad playcalling by Jeff Bowden. But as was stated earlier, JB will stick around for longer now, and I'm all for that.
December 4, 200520 yr Perhaps I just dont follow college football enough but I still do not understand how they were playing in that game with 4 losses.
December 4, 200520 yr Perhaps I just dont follow college football enough but I still do not understand how they were playing in that game with 4 losses. 1. The ACC is not very good. 2. The ACC is divided up into two divisions, the coastal and atlantic. 3. Virginia Tech was first in the coastal. FSU was first in the Atlantic, at 5-3 in conference and 7-4 overall. 4. BC was also 5-3, but FSU had beaten them. 5. The ACC is not very good.

I just thought it was funny that a pathetic FSU team was in the ACC Championship. Thanks for clearing that up!
December 4, 200520 yr Talk about sour grapes "Hey Gators, who still has Jeff Bowden as an OC?" That's the main reason I wanted the Noles to lose. Hopefully some school will see this game, think that JB would be a good head coach and get suckered into signing him for a long time.
December 4, 200520 yr Its a sham just in my opinion that we have two higher ranked teams (VaTech and UM) going to regular bowl games but one of the biggest disappointments in football this year is going to the BCS bowl...Gotta love VaTech choking to FSU and UM choking to GaTech.
December 4, 200520 yr Too bad Penn State is gonna win. We're gonna kill you guys! WE ARE PENN STATE! Just like VaTech?
December 4, 200520 yr Author I might go to the OB, that would be freaking awesome--never been to a bowl game before. Anyway, who are we playing in OB?
December 5, 200520 yr Author Penn State Ooooh, what were they ranked (I haven't been paying attention too much since State's losing streak)
December 5, 200520 yr Author #3. Methinks two upsets aren't likely...But I also think you're going to have a majority of FSU fans at the OB....
December 5, 200520 yr #3. Methinks two upsets aren't likely...But I also think you're going to have a majority of FSU fans at the OB.... You will be surprised then. Penn State has the biggest alumni dues paying association in the country with almost 200,000 people and we travel extremely well. Plus Miami is one of the places where there are a LOT of PSU alumni. We outnumbered Oregon fans in the Rose Bowl in 94 We outnumbered Auburn fans in the capital one Bowl in 02 I'm not gonna say we will outnumber a team from the State where the game is but there will be half of the stadium in BLUE AND WHITE there. Look forward to going to the game and watch my Lions murder your Seminoles.
