Girardi is in a no lose situation if the marlins stink everyone expected it given Loria's payroll poverty if by some miracle he wins, his stock as a manager rises greatly

Irish hit the nail on the head. It's a win-win for Joe, no way he can end up a loser if he maintains his class act style. Phil Garner did it with Milwaukee and Detroit. Both times he took the blame all by himself, now look where he's at. This is just a proving ground for him. My guess is that some day he'll be back in pin stripes again.
