According to WFAN, Bret Boone has signed a minor league deal with the New York Mets.

Kaz Matsui has been difficult to move this offseason, but Boone should be given every chance to compete with him this spring for the starting job. Chris Woodward is also in the mix, with Jeff Keppinger and Anderson Hernandez expected to serve as the double-play combination at Triple-A Norfolk.

pretty good infield for the mets with wright, reyes, boone.delgado, and lo duca

It will be interesting to see if Boone has anything left. It shouldn't be hard to do better than last year.

he's done now that he can't take the juice........

This should be Boone's last chance

Whew.. Kinda glad the rumors of the Cards getting him went away.. But this could very well be his last chance..

Wrong place for him to try to rejuvinate his career.

Boone is done, the guy wasn't even that good during his career, just had about 3 great seasons for seattle before with Atlanta he was a starter, but not that good of a starter...I'd take a chance on his brother Aaron though..
