Featured Replies

1 Houston Texans: Reggie Bush RB USC

The number one pick for most folks, I think they should take a LT first in D?brick whom is the best player in the draft but instead here they take bush and in the 2nd take a LT.

2. New Orlean Saints: Matt Leinart QB USC

A top notch QB for them and will work good in LA someday sadly

3. Tennessee Titans (trade Oakland): Vince Young QB Texas

Oakland trades up three picks and plucks up a QB that has a big arm and good mobility. Plus a big time name that will work great in their market

4. New York Jets: D?Brickshaw Ferguson LT VT

Best player in the draft hands down, I would take him before anyone if I was one of the top GM?s he is the only sure fire solution

5. Green Bay Packers: AJ Hawk LB Ohio State

Heck of a player and best defensive player, he will fill in a large need for them.

6. Oakland Raiders (trade Tennessee): Jay Cutler QB Vandy

A trade back for the titans and they get the local boy and pick up a 2nd rounder as well. Not too bad if I do say so myself

7. San Francisco 49ers: Mario Williams DE N.C.

Great defensive player to rush the passer, it will make the secondary look better and he is a cant miss guy right here.

8. Buffalo Bills: Haloti Ngata NT Oregon

A top need and good fill here. He will stuff the middle and make folks have to hit the corners to run on buffalo.

9. Detriot Lions: Winston Justice OT USC

A top notch lineman that most scouts believe is the second best tackle. He will be able to give some time to their QB and some assistance to Kevin Jones running. He will start right away

10. Arizona Cardinals: Vernon Davis TE Maryland

The next Gates, he will have a huge combine and pro day

11. St. Louis Rams: Michael Huff CB/S Texas

Great need for them could slide into either spot depending on what Adam does.

12. Cleveland Browns: Bobby Carpenter OLB Ohio State

A great tool for their rebuilding defense, the popular local boy too.

13. Blatimore Ravens: Lendale White RB USC

They lose their two RB in FA but pick up a better back honestly. I like lewis but he wasn?t the same this year and getting up there. White will come in and give them a pounding to help the young QB out. He fits their offense more then

14. Philadelphia Eagles: Tamba Hali DE Penn State

Hali was a monster at the senior bowl and has been nothing but a top individual too. He will help the eagles get some pressure on the QB, a huge need for them.

15. Atlanta Falcons: Jimmy Williams S/CB VT- A steal for the falcons as he slips down for attitude problems. He will fit right in as a safety

16. Miami Dolphins (trade Jacksonville Jaguars): DeAngelo Williams RBMemphis

A trade up for Jacksonville, I know they have greg jones whom might be solid, but isnt a sure thing. DeAngelo will give them a running machine to take over for Fred Taylor. He costs them a 2nd to jump Minnesota and 12 picks. Jones can be a goal-line back and a lot of teams like two back systems now too.

17. Minnesota Vikings: Laurence Maroney RB Minnesota

They lose out on their running back they really wanted but get a solid one instead pluck up the local boy they expected to be there

18. Dallas Cowboys: Marcus McNeil OT Auburn

Solid RT to fit in right away and be an upgrade, he could perhaps become a Left Tackle even, he is huge in size and fits the parcels mold.

19. San Diego Chargers: Ko Simpson S South Carolina

A great hard hitting safety that could roam the center of the field for them

20. Kansas City Chiefs: Santonio Holmes WR Ohio State

Best Wide receiver within the draft and the only sure fire one to make a major impact in the class

21. New England Patriots: Chad Greenway OLB Iowa

Good outside linebacker that could fit a 3-4 system, with Miami trading down he falls to them. He is a top 15 talent and gives good value here as BPA

22. Denver Broncos (Washington): Mathias Kiwanuka DE BC

He has dropped down some but will fill out nicely with a home in Denver. I think Shanahan is never afraid of a risk for reward and this one will be a large reward

23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Eric Winston LT Da U

A tackle that could be the best player in the draft or could be a bust if his knees blow out again I think he only fell because of the injury takes 2 years to heal typically. But I think he will end up fine and be a LT for Gruden for the next 8 years

24. Cincinnati Bengals: Darnell Bing SS

A solid safety to sure up the secondary of this team, could easily go with Watson here to plug the middle from the run. But Bing is too good to pass up.

25. New York Giants: Tye Hill CB

A solid cornerback that can come in and start for them, he will give them a little bit more strength to that defensive secondary

26. Chicago Bears: Leonard Pope TE Georgia

A top notch Tight end, it could be one of a few that are all very talented but I think Pope will be the one picked here when it is said and done. He fits with good blocking as well which Chicago likes.

27. Carolina Panthers: Brodrick Bunkley DT FSU

He could play all over the defensive line but he is a good pass rusher up the gut and will take some of the pressure off of peppers. He is also good against the rush.

28. Jacksonville Jaguars (traded to Miami Dolphins): Manny Lawson OLB NCS

Miami trades back because cutler was off of the board, they could take a Tackle here but Lawson fills out the OLB spot that Seau left by retiring. At this point he is BPA, so they swipe him and happily for St. Nick.

29. Denver Broncos: Antonio Cromartie CB FSU ? I think he will be moved to a Safety position for them, he has the size, speed and tackling to do well there too

30. Indianapolis Colts: Richard Marshall CB Fresno St- A CB that runs a 4.3, he will shoot up the charts as they always seem to for speed burners. But specially in that Dome, together they will have one of the best secondary round in time

31. Pittsburgh Steelers: Martin Nance WR Ohio (Miami)

Matches up well with Big Ben because of college time together, he replaced Randle EL

32. Seattle Seahawks: Demaco Ryans OLB Alabama

A solid OLB, that falls because of speed issues. But he has a nose for the ball and paired with last years pick up gives Seattle a 1-2 punch at LB that will be scary for years to come

Round 2

1 Houston Texans: Jon Scott LT Texas

They got bush how about a line to run behind?

2 New Orleans Saints: Thomas Howard LB UTEP

Great OLB prospect, quick to the ball and good instincts

3 Tennessee Titans: D?Qwell Jackson LB

Very talented LB to give them some more depth

4 New York Jets: Joseph Addai RB LSU

A great runner that will rise going out of the Combine, Houston cant do it alone and Martin is well gone soon

5 Green Bay Packers: Brian Calhoun RB Wis

2 RBs are FA and both haven?t been that great. He gives them a choice at RB now with Gado for the future

6 San Francisco 49ers: Ashton Youboty CB Ohio State

A top notch big Cornerback, I could see him at a Safety spot too

7 Tennesee Titans (through Oakland): Darnell Colledge OT Boise State

Another tackle off of the boards, they pluck up the kid that shined at the senior bowl and Fisher had a lot of praise for

8 Buffalo Bills: Ryan O?Callaghan OT California

A tackle to give some depth for their line, he should have a good workout at the combine

9 Detriot Lions: Omar Jacobs QB Bowling Green

Solid QB to groom into something useful

10 Arizona Cardinals: Max Jean Giles OG Georgia

Top guard in the draft, gives helps to the number worst rushing attack in the league

11 St. Louis Rams: Mercedes Lewis TE UCLA

A top notch TE to help them out with another weapon, Scott likes the TE in his systems

12 Cleveland Browns: Gabe Watson NT Michigan

Stuff up the middle for that 3-4

13 Baltimore Ravens: Andrew Whitworth OT LSU

Solid OT to give some help on that line

14 Philadelphia Eagles: Chad Jackson WR Florida

Could be a number 1 reciever, if he came out next year he would may have been a top 10 pick

15 Atlanta Falcons: Maurice Drew RB UCLA

Dunn will walk and he will replace them and they wont skip a beat

16 Miami Dolphins: Taitusi Latui OG USC

Gives them a guard with Rex moving to Center and fits the Houck?s type of linemen

17 Minnesota Vikings: Nick Mangold C Ohio State

Top center in the draft, he is huge and amazing, replaces their injured one

18 Dallas Cowboys: Kai Parkham ILB Virgina

Fits their 3-4 system and needs easily as they need an ILB he is one of the best around

19 San Diego Chargers: Derek Hagan WR Arizona St

Solid receiver that should have a good combine to bring back up his stock

20 Kansas City Chiefs: Orien Harris DT UM

A good pass rusher and man to add some pressure to help out the secondary

21 New England Patriots: Maurice Stovall WR ND

A solid receiver with great hands

22 Washington Redskins: Sinorice Moss WR UM

Combine with brother Santana, add any QB and decent OLine and pro bowl RB shake well and equals NFC East title

23 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Cedric Griffin CB Texas ?Good tackling CB that gruden wants most for his CBs

24 Cincinnati Bengals: Dominque Byrd TE USC- I would rather go with a nice DT to clog up the middle but it is a copy cat league and it seems the bengals fans keep wanting a TE. I thought their system doesn?t use the TE much but Byrd is a good blocker too so perhaps he can help there at least

25 New York Giants: Abdul Hodges LB Iowa ? He fell down the boards, I think with perhaps a bit depth of the LB class and poor work out. But he is a steal here with the giants and can come in and start for them

26 Chicago Bears: Kelly Jennings CB UM- Great coverage cornerback, can help with that pass happy NFC North

27 Carolina Panthers: Anthony Fasano TE ND ? Gives them a solid big target out there to drop off to instead of Smith all the time. Since there isnt a great compliment WR out there and they have Colbert he will work well for them

28 Miami Dolphins (through Jags): Brody Croyle QB Alabama- He has clean results for the tests within the combine and has the arm strength. Just has questions over his build and injury concerns. Someone put him on some weight gainer and see if he picks it up

29 Denver Broncos: Devin Hester WR/PR/KR ? Shanahan is not afraid to take risks and he does here. He will come in as a KR/PR and be taught to become either a good WR or CB for them in the future. His speed and potential is sky high for the kid, just raw. They also Sign T.O. for now.

30 Indianapolis Colts: Claude Wroten DT LSU ? A pass rushing/run stuffer to go along with Simeon for the colts. Gives them a base up the middle that will be hard to crack

31 Pittsburgh Steelers: DeMario Minter CB Georgia ? A solid cover corner to give them a bit of extra help after getting lit up in the super bowl

32 Seattle Seahawks: Darryl Tapp DE ? another bit of depth and youth to the defense for the team. This time in the form of a Defensive end to cause some mischief for the team instead of a LB

Trades

Tennesse Titans trade pick number 3 (1st) to Oakland Raiders for pick 6 (1st) and a 2nd round pick

Miami trades pick number 16 (1st) to Jacksonville Jaguars for pick 28 (1st) and a 2nd round pick

I definitely appreciate the time and research you put into making these lists. It must be difficult.

We'll see if everything pans out accordingly.

Hester doesn't deserve to be a first day pick. I feel bad for the team reaches for him (because some team will).

The giants would be a very happy team to get Hodge in the 2nd round

How well does he project as an OLB? I know he'll make the move at the next level, but we really need a fast guy for the weak side more than anything else.

I actually expect him to be an ILB at the next level or at least he was a Heck of one in college. I just think someone has to drop in the LB it might be him. He is a steal there for them though and a amazing player.

He is a great tackler and has a good head for the ball. Iowa can give you a better low down upon him I am sure :)

thanks lefty, actually once you do one or two of them it gets a bit easier. But really what helps most is folks telling you yes, no, you are dumb, etc. Over picks. Sorta a trial and error the first time or two.

I still cant seem to get a good 3 rounder going, by the time I get to there I get too many problems.

I don't see Brodie Croyle as a 2nd rounder. Dude's blown enough knees where you'd think he was a spider.

I dont think him or whitehurst last till our third round pick though. So he isnt that bad in the late second if he has good x rays. But indeed I agree he is a reach there.. I was thinking Greg Blue S Georgia there for us too Or Pat Watkin FS FSU there

I wouldn't have any problem with that. I'd much prefer a DB in the 2nd and get a project in the 3rd/4th round.

Bobby Carpenter definitely wont be the 12th pick.

Eh, I wouldn't put it past the rocket scientists up by the lake.

They haven't had a good draft since they came back, although I do expect Crennel and Savage will eventually get things going.
