KYCY will broadcast all 162 regular-season games and any postseason games involving the A's, plus a minimum of 15 Spring Training games. KNTS will broadcast 127 regular-season games, as well as any postseason action, and 12 Spring Training games. KNTS, which strengthens the broadcast distribution in the South Bay, will carry weekend games and join weeknight games in progress beginning at 6 p.m. "We are looking forward to a successful partnership with CBS Radio and Salem Communications," said Ken Pries, Oakland's vice president of broadcasting and communications. "Both are highly reputable broadcasting companies that understand the important relationship between a team and its radio broadcasts. "Collectively, our radio network will present us with the opportunity to reach A's fans throughout the entire Bay Area." The A's also announced that KVON 1440 AM in Napa will join the club's 20-station radio network and will carry all regular and postseason games covering the Napa, Santa Rosa and Novato areas. The A's radio broadcast team consists of play-by-play announcers Ken Korach and Vince Cotroneo, with Ray Fosse serving as an analyst for non-televised games. Robert Buan returns for his seventh season hosting the team's "Extra Innings" postgame talk show. Mychael Urban is a national writer for MLB.com. February 7, 200620 yr "Collectively, our radio network will present us with the opportunity to reach A's fans throughout the entire Bay Area." Gosh, that sounds terrible.
February 7, 200620 yr Unless Rich Waltz became the new radio voice of the A's, I don't see why A's fans would be in panic mode.
February 7, 200620 yr Unless I am missing something here isnt this a good thing? Whats all the panic abooot?
February 7, 200620 yr Author A's fans are in panic because they lost their longtime radio guy Bill King. They have no one to act as the voice of the fans and they fear that the A's may not be in Oakland much longer. To A's fans, this deal would have King turning in his grave. If you knew anything about Bill King, you know he would tell it like ti was and that nearly got him fired a few times, but the fans had a voice. Many A's fans are having Finley-era nightmares.....winning and then having firesales....sounds familar eh?

February 8, 200620 yr I panic when my pecker is on fire and I'm in the middle of the desert. An 'ok' radio host is nothing to be worried about.
