As a Manager, I would probably tinker too much with the line-up. McKeon is much smarter than me (though I'll never understand batting Redmond third). Now my instincts (ignorance?) would have me switching Conine and Lee (fourth and sixth spots.)

This is NOT a bash Conine thread. Just an amateur exercise in line-up logistics.

When Conine makes contact, (right now) it's often a hard-hit infield grounder (double-play ball.) When Lee makes contact, it's often to the outfield. And having Conine behind Lee and Encarnacion does not diminish potential RBI's.

For this series, I think Lee would be a fine clean-up hitter.

 

He already has one of the three homers I predicted for him in Puerto Rico.

I hope mckeon does that cuz i think conine has to much pressure in that spot of the lineup.

Its a good idea too switch them. D.Lee Hits well at the end of the season always and has been hot this last week. Conine is struggling also so it wouldnt be a bad idea.

I believe I've been saying all alone it is stupid to hit Conine #4 when Lee is a lot better player.

Conine is a way better player and has defense too and he is 37 years old while lee is like 27. Conine always has a better average than him and can at least hit clutch. IMO Conine is way better even though he is old

Lee will dominate in this ballpark as he did last night.

He had a double, a single, and he hit one out.

Move him to 4th.

I must disagree...(Even though I am a Conine "fanboy".)

Lee is a better overall player then Conine. He exceds Conine in every department except hitting for avgerage and RISP. I would put Lee in the 4th spot for the remaining games at Hiram Bithorn.

I think they can do it.
