March 3, 200620 yr I'm still up and I'm gonna watch it. Don't really know why I'm not tired. I know this game prob wont be close but I am looking forward to seeing some of these Japanese professionals. The game between Korea and Taiwan was fun to watch. Good defense, some good pitching, Korea showed some pop. I think the WBC is really gonna gain momentum. Anybody still up and gonna watch Game 2?
March 3, 200620 yr I'm gonna stay up and watch some of it. Don't know for how long though. I'll probably sleep till 3 tommorow(today).
March 3, 200620 yr two 'bombs' already. both wall-scrapers. a two-run HR by china to make it 2-2. now a 3-run homer by some guy from japan to make it 5-2 japan in the top of the 5th inning.
March 3, 200620 yr Another homer for Japan. Back to Back. 6-2 Japan. The first Japanese guy to hit the homer had only hit 4 homers all last season.
March 3, 200620 yr Good game though...nice to see all the defense and offense of Japan working well... Interesting rule they have going on...the "Mercy rule"...ha ha..
March 3, 200620 yr Author i passed out in the fourth before china tied it with a bomb. nice to see they were in it till about the 6th obviously japan is the much better team, but we have to assume that part of the implosion by china was due to a lack of pitching depth. oh, and, china really needs to bulk up, they are tiny, you'd think with over a billion people they would have one guy who weighs over 180.
March 3, 200620 yr is there somewhere to find the tv schedule and all for the games? http://www.worldbaseballclassic.com/2006/s...evision&sid=wbc Japan kills China 18-2
March 3, 200620 yr Author How was the fan atmosphere at the game, being in Tokyo and all? It wasn't nearly what I expected. The stadium only looked half full. It could have been b/c the game was expected to be a blow out. It also could have been b/c the game was at 4:30 over there and people would still be at work. But i have to say, i was expecting a sell out crowd and it wasn't even close. The fans that were there were loud though. I'm sure Japan vs. Korea will be packed
