it doesn't matter if he's tested positive or if major league baseball takes away records that are set. we know babe ruth didn't do steroids. we know hank aaron didn't use steroids. they will always be home run champions. barry bonds is nothing but a byproduct of drugs

 

 

 

 

 

Babe Ruth didn't play against black or spanish players, and Hank Aaron played in an expansion era. There are problems with calling them HR kings too (though not as much so with Aaron as with Bonds or Ruth).

So we're going on the assumption that blacks and Hispanics are naturally engineered better for playing baseball? And clearly there was no expansion whatsoever during Bonds' playing time, right?

 

Not that blacks or hispanics are better players, but if you make a league of the elite from 37% of a 130 million person population it is not going to be as strong as when you draw the elite from 46% of a billion person population. Exclusion made the leagues of the early 20th century inferior to the latter 20th.

Today, Barry Bonds killed 27 kittens and ate them. He then donated his entire paycheck to Al-Qaeda, helped facilitate the spread of AIDS, gave leukemia to over 8,000 children and sacrificed a puppy to Satan.

 

 

 

This is all documented and backed up with meticulous notes, but, no, you can't see them.

 

 

 

However, what can't be determined, is why, exactly, Barry Bonds is still allowed to roam free. As the brilliant Skip Bayless recently stated in an article on ESPN.com, "This is the most maddening question I've faced in my career: How does Barry Bonds keep getting away with it?"

 

 

 

Why hasn't the media ACTUALLY crucified him? We, as a profession, should send our twenty most robust members and actually drag him out of his leather recliner and nail him to a cross made out of the same maple elm that his bats are crafted from. THAT should teach the mighty Barry Bonds to scorn us.

 

 

 

How DARE he not cower before us, the mighty media elite? How dare he not get on his knees, tongue our collective balls and when we defile his face, write spiteful stories about him and his family, how DARE he not smile and ask for more?!?

 

 

 

Play our game, Barry. We control how the public views you.

 

Forget, for a second, that amphetamines are far more dangerous than steroids, killing many more of our youth yearly, yet have been legal in baseball up until this year and are ingested by many more players than roids ever were, including greats like Willie Mays and Hank Aaron. Forget, also, that many people admitted to breaking the rules to gain a competitive edge (from amphetamines, corking bats or doctoring balls) and are currently enjoying a spot in the Hall. Lastly, try to forget that even if Barry admits to everything in our new book, Game of Shadows (order it now on Amazon!), he still wouldn't have broken any established rules of MLB unless he also admits to taking 'roids after 2002, which we don't have any evidence, circumstantial or otherwise, of.

 

 

 

Barry is guilty of the greatest sin: not catering to us, the media.

 

 

 

So, when our friend skip asks, "How can the United States attorney's office in San Francisco not pursue a perjury indictment against Bonds for his testimony to the BALCO grand jury?" we should ignore his blatant insult to the men and women serving our government's attorney's office and his call to redirect sparse funds to criminalizing a city's icon. Also ignore, please, that these men and women make a living using ACTUAL facts to convict ACTUAL criminals and if they thought they had a legitimate case that criminal activity had taken place they probably would act on it. It is impossible, of course, that insufficient evidence exists to convict Bonds. We've published such evidence in our book, Game of Shadows (purchase it now on Amazon!).

 

 

 

When Skip calls Kimberly Bell a credible witness, he has the journalistic fortitude to do so knowing that she has repeatedly changed her testimony. That, my friends, is credibility at its height.

 

 

 

When journalists like Bayless, Wojciechowski, Gammons, Gomez and yours truly call him a cheater you should know that we do so in full recognition of the definition of the word: to violate rules deliberately, as in a game. We also know that Barry didn't really violate any rules, because, as stated before, there were no rules against any steroid consumption of any kind.
