Places to go before and after ST games

Featured Replies

Headed down to Spring Training this week and was wondering if we had an update on places to go before and after the games?

Since you posted it here, I'm assuming you have the Marlins in mind. If so:

The Town of Abacoa, literally a few steps from the stadium, has some nice restaurants & pubs -- including Rooney's, Masa's Sagami and J.J. Muggs, which the players themselves frequent after games.

The new "Downtown at the Gardens", off PGA Boulevard (one exit south on I-95) is the new 'hot spot' in the area. Plenty of stuff to do there before and after the game.

If you plan to hang out late into the evening, City Place & Clematis Street, in downtown West Palm Beach, is where all the good nightlife is. It's a 12-minute drive south from the stadium.

There's a few other places, but those are the ones that jump to mind at the moment.

Lots of guys go to Masa's in the evening after home games, if that's what you're after.

If it's night life, ER Bradley's in West Palm on Flagler drive is where the young-ish crowd congregates for rowdy nightlife and there's a plethora of clubs in the Clematis/City Place area for all different kinds of lounge/bar atmosphere.

Abacoa itself is pretty family friendly.

You've got movie theaters, restaurants and such all around there.

Actually, the Abacoa movie theater has (sadly) closed. Business went under when the Downtown at the Gardens opened its own brand-new multiplex.

Thanks for the info. All is very appreciated. Looking forward to watching the Marlins and enjoying the Florida sunshine from Illinois. We were hit by a tornado last week and this week a blizzard. It is time to get away. Trying to save a dollar or two so you're help is again appreciated. Go Fish!
