Posted September 10, 200321 yr Mike Lowell hopes to make it back from a broken hand before the end of the regular season. Lowell said the hand has felt a lot better over the last four days. If the Marlins are still in the running for a playoff spot, he may make it back for the final few days. C/O rotoworld.com *YAAAAH! Wonder what this does to the lineup?
September 10, 200321 yr Author I heard this a few days ago. blah! I just got back from NC, so it was news to me. sorry for posting old news...how will the lineup change though? Niner getting days off for Lee, Cabs, and Lowell?
September 10, 200321 yr I would expect Mikey getting some PH at bats in those final games unless it is absolutely necessary he be in, and then get ready to start Game 1 at San Fransisco and the Marlins shock path to the Series.....
September 10, 200321 yr aw man i thought there was going to be news here taht i didnt know already... u got my hopes up 4 nothing
September 10, 200321 yr I dont know, this seems a lot like common sense and speculation. Of course Lowell is going to try and get back asap, but we will have to make the playoffs without him at this point.
September 10, 200321 yr This story of Lowell's (inherent) optimism did break a few days ago, but it came up again yesterday because Mike added that his hand was really feeling better.
September 10, 200321 yr Len Kasper said he might be available the last 2 games of the season and also the playoffs....
September 10, 200321 yr I doubt he'd get much PT unless Coney is falling apart. Probably a few PH at bats at most. As long as he's feeling good and can grip the bat I'm happy. I wonder how his fielding will be affected in his return. I'm sure he'll be great but I figure a few gb hoppers will pop him in the right spot from time to time to test the tolerance. Looking forward to the return.....even if it is just for the PLAYOFFS
