April 4, 200620 yr Author 4/3/06 Claimed RHP Franklyn German off waivers from the Tigers, and designated RHP Nate Bump for assignment.

Ya but how does that take him off the 40 man roster?
April 4, 200620 yr he is on waivers as we speak Thanks that's what I thought. So are the terms DFA and waiver synonymous?
April 4, 200620 yr added a higher ceiling player, while removing a still injured lower ceiling player from the 40-man. Good move overall, even though I think Bump is more useful than most here believe.
April 4, 200620 yr he is on waivers as we speak Thanks that's what I thought. So are the terms DFA and waiver synonymous? DFA means we have 10 days to decide what to do with him while taking him off the 40-man roster. We could still trade him or if he clears waivers, keep him in Albuquerque. I'm not sure if Ramp is correct on him being on waivers as we speak, because we definitely have the right to trade him still.
