April 6, 200620 yr Griffey's 3 best HR season: 56 56 49 Bonds: 46 42 40 Adv. Griffey RBIs Jr: 147 146 140 Bonds: 129 123 122 Adv. Griffey Avg Jr: .309 .308 .304 Bonds: .336 .312 .308 Adv. Bonds Runs Bonds: 129 123 122 Griffey: 125 123 123 Adv. almost even SB Griffey 24 20 18 Bonds 52 43 49 Advantage Bonds by alot. Bonds walks more, steals more bases, and hits for better average. Griffey hits more homers and drives in more runs. They score about the same amount of runs. See when it comes to actual baseball stats, the gap isn't nearly as big as you make it to be.
April 6, 200620 yr There are your stats, and I am done arguing. Bonds was a better player in the 90s then Griffey, but in both their prime it was close. They are both great players, end of discussion.
April 6, 200620 yr See when it comes to actual baseball stats, the gap isn't nearly as big as you make it to be. Sorry, I was unaware OPS and OBP as well as SB, Runs, and BB were not real baseball stats. The gap really was pretty big. I will not waver on that. There are your stats, and I am done arguing. Bonds was a better player in the 90s then Griffey, but in both their prime it was close. They are both great players, end of discussion. Finally you admit the truth of who was better during the 90s. By the way, their "prime" years were not close at all. Barry did not hit his prime until this decade. All I did was take Griffey's best years which occured from ages 26-29 and compare them to Barry at the same age and Barry still was better than Ken was during that age period even though that was Jr's best years. And yes, those years were close. And yes, they are both great and I like them both. Glad to end the debate with you.
April 6, 200620 yr arent we all forgetting Bonds is on steroids and griffey has never been accused of anything
April 6, 200620 yr It still isn't fact. It can only ever be an opinion. Open up a dictionary. I'll take the better defensive, very similar offensive player (and one who had one season before the 90s), and the steroid free version, personally. You will continue to take the controversial player in every sport (Bonds, Kobe, TO) just to create arguments and build up your jackass meter on this board so who knows what you really think. You can't ever say it's a fact.
April 6, 200620 yr How about Arroyo today? Not only does he get the W (our bullpen did its best job trying to blow it), but he also hit a 400 foot bomb homer. Congrats Jr! Congrots Bronson! what about Richie? He hit one too...
April 7, 200620 yr wow....can't believe he's over MANTLE.....never really occured to me he had so many homers. i hate seeing all these great players sinking lower and lower on the all-time homer list.

You can't ever say it's a fact. Believe me, I know what a fact is. Sorry you get so defensive when your argument is defeated. Let's not get into a battle of intelligence, I can assure you that you will not come out on top.
