Joe Sheehan (Baseball Prospectus senior writer) on ESPN said that Hanley would have a season this year like a typical Alex Gonzalez (either one, cubs or our old one) season, low OBP, mediocre power, average to good defense. Said he was better physically than most and being a regular starting SS this early in his career will help his career later.

I think the upside on Hanley is a bit higher than what Joe said. He's not the second coming of A-Rod by any means but I think he'll be more Renteria-ish than anything.

yeah he is projected to be the next Renteria, and Hanley has great tools he will have a good year this season, and after opening day he will clean up on the defense

Hanley doesn't K a lot. 25-30 SB speed now. Good fantasy player leading off. Will score runs (about 80 runs).

A-Gonz to Han-Ram offensively isn't a great comparison. Han-Ram has much better plate coverage and eye and steals bases. We'll see whether he can mash 15+ HR in a season...I doubt it this year, but we'll see.
