Posted April 30, 200618 yr This is just an idea my opinion, our big problem is our offense right? well we have so much pitching how come we dont start trading some pitching prospect's because all we need is an Outfileder with Hermy and Willy along with another outfielder our outfield cant be that bad Jacobs need to be sent down to get AB's, I know we can get some good names with for some of the pitchers we have. :whistle
April 30, 200618 yr brilliant  :lol  I think the plan is to basically ride out most of the year like this and figure out who among our talented pitchers we want to keep. Once we finalize our stadium deal then our payroll should rise. At that point we will start making trades for bigger names and signing free agents. We'll use some of those pitchers to get good position players to fill out the roster and make us competitive. I think our rotation in 2008/2009 will look like this: Willis Anibal Olsen Nolasco/JJ Mitre/Vargas/Some other guy we can pick up Willis, Anibal, and Olsen will become our new "big three." Nolasco will be a solid fourth starter for us. And then we'll find a decent fifth starter. Position players that I expect to be around for us in 2008/2009: Cabrera Ramirez Hermida Hammer Jacobs? So we'll have to find a catcher, center fielder, and second baseman (and perhaps a first baseman). We can trade guys like Petit, JJ, or someone else to trade to fill these holes and/or sign free agents. This is all contingent on getting a stadium deal done soon. Once we do this we can expect to have a contending team. :thumbup

April 30, 200618 yr I dont know why you'd have someone we could sign, when we have enough pitching down on the farm to promote someone to the 5th spot. Â Willis Sanchez Olsen Nolasco/Johnson/Volstad Pinto
