I just recently learned that my late grandfather was a WW2 veteran in the Navy and I was wondering if anyone else here has any family members who are or were in the military.

My late grandfather was a WWII vet. He left Cuba to America to join the Army and fight in the Pacific.

Grandfather was in the army.

 

He was actually stationed in Casablanca (Korean War???) when my mother was born.

 

So technically, I'm like Afro-Cuban. :o

My grandfather was a MP Master Sergeant in WWII, he guarded German POW's.

My grandfather has a Purple Heart from Korea.

 

My father and sister are both in the Air National Guard.

Grandfather was a WW2 vet, Dad was in Vietnam.

my grandfather fought in the korean war and my dad fought in vietnam.

Grandfather was a WW2 vet(navy) and my distant cousin Troy I believe is currently in the Air Force.

My grandfather was in WWII received a medal of honor, he was in the navy, his ship was torpedoed and he saved like 12 people on board who wouldn't have lived otherwise.

 

Father was in Vietnam but was discharged because of a heart condition, never saw live combat.
