May 19, 200620 yr I was thinking about who are our Marlins most compared to and wondered how good we could be. 1. Hanley Ramirez - Edgar Renteria 2. Dan Uggla - Marcus Giles 3. Miguel Cabrera - Albert Pujols 4. Josh Willingham - not sure, maybe someone has something. (Not Conine, because I think Willy is better) 5. Jeremy Hermida - Brian Giles 6. Mike Jacobs - Jason Giambi (maybe?) 7. Miguel Olivo - I'll get killed for this but he reminds me of a poor man's Pudge. 8. Reggie Abercrombie - Once called a 5 tool player, maybe Beltran? 1. Ramirez I see as a potential healthy version of Garciaparra with speed. 2. Uggla I can see as Giles, maybe a Jeff Kent type when he reaches his prime. 3. Miggy yes definitely Pujols. 4. Willingham I see as a (here's a name from the past) Kevin McReynolds in his best years type with less defense and speed. 5. Hermida looks like he can actually be more of (another name from the past) the Harold Baines type. 6. Jacobs I can see more as a Tino Martinez in his prime type. 7. Olivo is more of a poor man's (a recent past name) Pat Borders. 8. Abercrombie reminds me too much of Preston Wilson. He has alot of tools like Wilson, but may be doomed because of the same problem. STRIKEOUTS.
May 19, 200620 yr Abercrombie plays defense much better than P-Dub. So much so the comparision makes no sense.

Damn I thought of McReynolds as well except McReynolds was better with the glove...I do feel you are way off in comparing Jake with Tino and Ramirez with Garciaparra Mike Jacobs=Lee May Shadez=Barry Larkin Uggla=Toby Harrah Kool Aid=Chet Lemon Olivo=Darrell Porter Willingham=Brian Downing
May 31, 200620 yr i hate to say it but Abercrombie reminds me of Corey Patterson. even though corey is doing much better now i still dont trust him.
